Veneers are a laboratory made and are designed to improve the appearance of teeth, such as colour or shape. They are often used in pairs to provide a symmetrical appearance. They can be constructed using either porcelain or composite resin. In cases where a large number of veneers are placed, a wax model can be produced to preview the finished result. Veneers can be so thin that it is often not necessary to cut the teeth.
